CARE & Clean

Every piece of jewellery requires some love and care after purchase. Here we would like to provide some tips on how to best care for your precious pieces and how to keep them shine! Different metal requires different ways of special care.

BRASS

As the price of Gold and Sterling Silver skyrocket, brass has become another common option for designers looking to keep their pieces affordable. However, brass-base accessories need extra care to keep them bright and clean!

Always remember to wipe your brass pieces after daily wear. A microfiber cloth is best option (with or without a brass cleaner solution depends on the plating quality, usually a clean-dry cloth will do the job fine). To delay tarnish, carefully remove any dirt, chemicals or fingerprints from the pieces and then ALWAYS seal them in air tight ziplock bags and jewellery box.
After awhile, all brass pieces will naturally tarnish and begin to darken to a more gold-like tone!

DEMI-FINE JEWELLERY (Gold-plate and Sterling Silver)

Gold-plated jewellery can be easily clean with warm water and microfiber cloth (add a little amount of hand soap or baby shampoo if needed). You may also use a soft brush to clean it properly, and MUST BE rinse thoroughly and let the pieces dry COMPLETELY before sealing them in air tight ziplock bags and jewellery box.

Sterling silver is a comparatively soft metal that is subject to be scratched so it is not recommended to wear your silver jewellery while playing sports or doing heavy duty works. However, at the same time, the best way to keep the silver pieces looking bright is simply to wear them as much as possible! Otherwise they tarnish over time.

FINE JEWELLERY (Karat Gold)

Gold jewellery can be quite soft as well, be mindful and always remove them while playing sports or doing heavy duty works. Also, some chemical elements like chlorine and acids can be very damageable to gold jewellery, we suggest you to always remove the pieces before swimming, enjoying spa, doing household cleaning or putting on lotions, perfume, hairspray.

To keep the gold pieces shine, you may also clean with warm water and microfiber cloth (add a little amount of hand soap or baby shampoo if needed). Only clean your jewellery when needed but not overdo it! And remember paper towel and tissue are NOT ideal for jewellery cleaning as they can scratch the pieces. Always have a microfiber cleaning cloth ready. Rubbing alcohol can be great for cleaning, you may use nail polish but stay away from bleach!

Last but not least, always store your jewellery pieces separately in air tight ziplock bags and jewellery box. With proper care, your gold jewellery will be something you can pass down for generations to come!

STONES & PEARLS

All gemstones & pearls require only dry cloth to keep them shine and clean. Never apply chemicals! Keep them clean after each daily wear and always store them as suggested with all jewellery pieces.
